Pure Movement Announces Balanced Body Instructor Trainings

We’re thrilled to share some exciting news. Pure Movement will now be hosting Balanced Body Instructor Trainings right here in Fort Wayne! This is a huge step not only for our studio, but also for the entire movement community in our area.

Why Balanced Body?

Balanced Body is one of the most respected and trusted schools in the Pilates world. Known for its innovative approach, educational depth, and high standards, Balanced Body has trained thousands of instructors worldwide. Their programs blend classical Pilates principles with modern movement science. This ensures future teachers have both the tradition and the tools needed to guide clients safely and effectively.

Balanced Body is recognized as a global leader in Pilates education. Their approach uniquely blends:

  • Movement Principles that ground you in modern biomechanics, movement science, and anatomy.
  • A tiered instructor training model—Mat 1, 2 & 3; Reformer 1, 2, & 3—ensuring a genuinely progressive, thorough education that you can complete at your own pace.
  • Rich support beyond certification, including continuing education opportunities and a global community of trained instructors.

This isn’t just another certification. It’s a path to becoming a refined teacher, rooted in foundational movement intelligence and prepared to adapt to diverse bodies and learning styles.

Honoring Our Legacy—And Expanding It

Pure Movement Studio Instructors

At Pure Movement, we have a longstanding tradition of in-depth Pilates education. In addition to Balanced Body, our instructors hold advanced credentials from Polestar Pilates and BASI Pilates. All these schools nurture both classical technique and contemporary innovation. As a studio, our diverse educational backgrounds support a full spectrum of Pilates lineages, deeply rooted in anatomy, movement quality, and modern teaching methodology.

What’s Coming to Pure Movement

Pure Movement will kick off Balanced Body Instructor Trainings this coming January with a strong foundation and then build with purpose:

  • Movement Principles – Lay the groundwork for anatomy, sequencing, cueing, and whole-body movement literacy.
