At Pure Movement, we’re excited to kick off our first-ever fitness challenge! Our first challenge focuses on how the mindful movement method of Pilates can empower you both in and outside of the studio. What does feeling empowered mean to us? It means gaining the independence to move and having confidence in your Pilates practice so that you can control of and own your health, wellness, and happiness!
What is the Empower Pilates Fitness Challenge?
We’re challenging you to attend at least one of each level offered at Pure Movement! Therefore increasing your overall Pilates experience. We hope you attend class at a different time. And maybe take from a different teacher! We are an education-focused Pilates studio. So for us, building our student’s confidence in and ability to move is really important. We want to better educate you on the Pilates method, and challenge you to take your Pilates practice to the next level.
Fitness Challenge Details
This challenge is for students holding a studio Membership, starting May 1st, you’ll have 30 days to complete the Empowered Pilates Challenge. Students who complete the Empower Pilates Challenge will receive an OPTP Infinity Roller. For example, if you have a Silver Membership, you would have to attend two (2) level one classes, two (2) level two classes, two (2) level three classes, and two (2) level four classes to receive the roller. Woohoo! Please let us know when you’ve completed all classes.
- Bronze Members – complete at least one of each class level offered.
- Silver Members and above – complete at least 2 of each class level offered.
What to Expect in the Empower Pilates Fitness Challenge
Expect to be challenged!
Expect to sometimes move faster, sometimes move slower! You’ll practice more advanced exercises and you’ll step back to improve your mindful practice. You may experience soreness and novelty, and you may appreciate something more restorative and relaxing. Hopefully, you’ll pick up a new cue from a different instructor, get to apply it in the next practice, and then walk away enlightened. If you’re looking to improve your overall health and relationship to your body’s health, then this studio challenge is for you!
Not all challenges will be appropriate for all students. You’ll have to use your expert modification skills if the level is more challenging. If you traditionally take levels 1 + 2 classes, it may not be in the best safety interest to take level four classes so perhaps you want to wait and participate in the next challenge.
