Savannah Hammond
Apprentice Pilates Instructor
Since earning her Personal Trainer Certification in 2019, Savannah has been exploring where her passion for movement could best serve others. She’s always known she wanted to help people feel stronger, healthier, and more confident and Pilates has given her the clarity she has been looking for.
Savannah is currently working towards her Comprehensive Pilates Certification. When Savannah first ever heard about Pilates, it seemed like the practice was exclusive to a certain type of person. As she began to learn more, she discovered that Pilates was actually designed for every body—accessible, empowering, and deeply effective. That realization shifted everything, and she knew she had found the direction she’d been searching for.
Outside of the studio, Savannah enjoys sipping tea or coffee, reading, exploring, and finding great spots to eat. She’s always looking for ways to continue learning, growing, and connecting.
Fun fact: she holds a Construction Management Certification from Indiana Tech—earned during a chapter of life when she was convinced she wanted to be a carpenter!
Savannah hopes to one day combine her love for movement, health, and travel—exploring new places while continuing to grow as an instructor and as a person.
Feel free to give her travel recommendations (especially where to find amazing food).
About Savannah
What do you feel is the most unique quality of Pilates as a mindful movement?
The art of connecting with your body, the deeper understanding of how your body moves, and the ability to adapt Pilates to any body type is amazing.
What is your current favorite Pilates exercise, on any apparatus?
I love Prep for Semi-Circle and Semi-Circle! Articulating the spine through these movements makes me feel strong, fluid, and open.
What tickles you most about teaching Pilates?
I am excited to see people learn to trust themselves as they grow in their practice and bring that confidence and strength into their everyday lives.
