Nadia Banas
Certified Pilates Instructor
Licensed Physical Therapist
Nadia Banas first started her career in movement in 1985 when she graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in physical therapy. It wasn’t until 2008 that she discovered Pilates and knew within a matter of weeks of being a student she wanted to make it her career. In 2010, she completed her Body Arts and Sciences International Comprehensive Pilates Certification, certifying her in reformer, mat, trapeze table, barrels, and chair. “I love how precision is the focus of Pilates,” Nadia says, “It speaks to my nerd side that needs to know why I’m doing any given movement.”
During Nadia’s years of practice and teaching, she has attended numerous continuing education courses, including Core Align, Bodhi Suspension, and soft foam roller training. Working with so many clients at various life stages has also reinforced to her the importance of incorporatinge the Pilates principles into functional movement exercises. For the client who travels (or just wants to work out safely between sessions), she is happy to share her expertise and offer exercise suggestions for outside the studio environment.
When not teaching Nadia enjoys biking, golfing, gardening, travel with her husband and playing with her 9 grandkids!
