Susan Kronbach Pilates Instructor Fort Wayne

Susan Kronbach

Mat and Reformer Pilates Teacher

Susan came to Pilates about 5 years ago in search of a sustainable practice to develop and maintain strength, stability, and balance (both physical and mind/body) into her “later life.”  Almost five years later, she is eager to share this journey with others, especially those who might be a bit hesitant or uncertain about exercise.  Susan began instructor training in 2025 and currently holds a certificate in Mat and Reformer Pilates.  She's continuing her Pilates education, with the goal of completing her Comprehensive certificate by the end of the summer.

About Susan

What do you feel is the most unique quality of Pilates as a mindful movement?

I love Pilates' integration of mindfulness and physical health, helping us develop confidence and strength in the wholeness of mind, body, and spirit.  I believe Pilates is unique in its broad approach to mindful movement, including breath, mind-body awareness, and intentional, precise movement.

Currently, what is your favorite Pilates exercise, on any apparatus?

One of my favorite exercises is Up Stretch on the reformer.  It’s a full-body experience of spinal and hip mobility, along with core strength and control.  And it feels great!

What tickles you most about teaching Pilates?

I am most excited about watching students develop competence and confidence in their bodies – enjoying the fullness of their Pilates practice.

Outside the Pilates studio, I enjoy my sweet puppy IonaGrace, travel near and far, and working with the residents at the care center, where we will also be sharing a Pilates practice.  It’s never too late for Pilates!
