Apprentice Pilates Instructor
Katie, an Indianapolis native, was first introduced to Pilates as a way to workout to prep for her future sister-in-law’s wedding. After a couple of reformer classes, she was hooked, and knew she wanted to learn more. As a former competitive swimmer, golfer, and softball player, Katie is fiercely athletic, and loves how Pilates complements so many sport modalities. “Pilates has a wonderful sense of community,” says Katie, “and the small, personal nature of a studio really builds a community.” Katie’s favorite part of teaching Pilates? “Watching the student sense how they’re progressing and seeing how much better they feel,” “Who doesn’t want a workout that leaves you feeling less in pain?”
Katie has a B.S. in hospitality management from Purdue University that gives her impeccable planning skills, in both her sessions, and own personal Pilates practice. She enjoys working with all clients, but especially loves working with the athletic population.
In her free time, Katie enjoys hanging with her husband Jim, traveling, drinking wine, and taking adorable Pilates pictures with her pup, Roxy.
